I was searching for a good electric coconut scraper for a long period. Even top brand products does not give full satisfaction. Now I bought Waves and Wires. It is an awesome product. Overall performance is good. Easy to handle and we can remove the coconut from the shell fully without any difficulty. Easy to clean. Low sound. Can hold the shell firmly without jerking. This machine sits sturdy on the kitchen platform when in use; hardly any vibration is felt. The blade is of excellent quality and the plastic cover makes it very convenient to fix and remove the blade.
When scraping you just need to hold the coconut firmly so that the coconut doesn’t fly off and you don’t get hurt with the blade. There is no need for pressing coconut too much against the blade. Just rotate the coconut to get even scraping on all side and the bottom. Since it turns on and off via a self releasing button on top, it’s easy to stop and start as you scrape.
The end result is finely scraped coconut.
It’s been only a week of usage and I have scraped some 5 coconuts already. It’s been so easy. I just love it.
It’s a little noisy but so are mixers…..so can’t consider it an issue.

Using last 2 months. it’s suitable for females because it’s does not need lots of stress to scrape coconut. also suitable for normal kitchen because it’s plugging wire are enough lengthy. Tip: Make sure you break the coconut into two equal half before using the grater.

The speed developed is sufficient. The removable blade attachment is a plus point. The noise generated by gears is optimum. Different colour option would be better, either Grey or White. However, practically, it serves the purpose, comfortable, saves time.!

The blade is strong and sharp. i switched from my conventional type manual scraper coz Its bit difficult for my mother to sit on the floor to grate the coconut ,this is easy when used in the proper way. I came across this product while browsing google. I had this product since a year now from waves and wires technologies. Its a fantastic product. We use it very often.. No complains since 1 year.
Its much better than some other copy makes I have seen. Coconut Scraper quality is above average. The main body plastic material is high quality material. Coconut Scraper blades are made off good quality stainless steel. The vacuum base rubber also built in quality and works as strong catching as newer in time.
Within 5-6 minutes I managed to scrape 2 & half coconut. Need to cut the coconut in equal pieces, otherwise very difficult for scraping .Any way the Coconut Scraper is useful thing for kitchen. Also they support well for any spare parts. I emailed them for additional cap for the blade since I misplaced original .. I got new in 2 days. Overall the material quality & performance is superb. Strongly Recommended

Easy to scrape the coconut. Took several long minutes for half, as it’s my first time. So far good, suction held well. Since the scrapper part is long, I was able to put a bowl under to catch the scrapping’s. I then froze it and have used to make chutneys few days later.

Does its job very well – the rubber base holds onto a smooth surface like granite with good grip and does not slip. Just that the user has to be bit careful while using it so that hand does not slip – the edges are really sharp but possibility of injury is low.

I’m a south Indian, we use coconut as part of everyday cooking and in almost all dishes. Coconut scraping is a huge chore for me. Luckily found this and it is very useful. I grate coconut for a week and store it for daily use. It is compact and easily stored and cleaned. Comfortable to use. Speed is enough to grate 1 whole coconut in under 5 mins. The sharpness of the blade is excellent.

I bought this shredder after watching review in Waves and Wires website. I am satisfied with this. It is built of strong steel and is easy to fix to slab in kitchen for shredding a coconut. Once it is fixed it doesn’t move and remains sturdy unless you remove it properly. Shredding a coconut takes a little effort but I think it’s worth.

I have used other vertical electric coconut grater and it never grated properly. In this, the blade is horizontal and it is able to reach the edges and scrape properly. It took me some time to get used to the way of scraping, but now I find it very safe and convenient.

The default speed setting on the appliance is enough for daily use… I found the the speed setting too fast. Either way, you need a firm hand, and a good focus when you use it. Finally, a portable coconut scraper that only takes a few mins to grate coconut. It did take a few takes to learn how to handle it, but now it’s a breeze. Excellent, I had a Sunstar’s coconut scraper for past 4yrs but tried this one, so perfect to use and the blades are very sharp, not much effort to put, and it takes only 5 min to grate the coconut completely but the same thing in Sunstar used to takes 30min. this one is best buy best product waves and wires coconut scraper
